Maintenance Technician / Building Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician / Building Engineer to support our commercial properties through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems. This role requires a strong working knowledge of commercial building operations, the ability to work independently, and comfort handling more complex maintenance issues.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, safety-minded, and takes pride in providing reliable service to tenants and property owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on commercial buildings, equipment, and systems
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair building systems.
  • Perform interior and exterior painting, patching, and finish work
  • Monitor, manage, and adjust building equipment and building automation systems
  • Identify and recommend repairs, replacements, and capital improvements to property managers and ownership
  • Respond to and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Prioritize and manage daily work schedule
  • Maintain and repair maintenance equipment, tools, and vehicles
  • Coordinate and communicate with outside vendors and contractors
  • Provide clear updates to property manager regarding work performed and recommendations
  • Deliver excellent customer service to tenants and building owners
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours calls as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial building maintenance experience (additional experience strongly preferred)
  • Solid working knowledge of Building systems, controls and general building operations
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Valid Minnesota driver’s license and ability to travel locally between properties
  • Ability to lift, carry, and work with tools and equipment required for the role

Pay

$32.00 – $40.00 per hour

Commercial Interior Designer

Archimea is looking for a Senior Commercial Interior Designer who can deliver interior design projects from initial contact and concept to occupancy, while directly interacting with clients, brokers, end users, and contractors. This individual must be highly motivated by the challenge to expand their level of responsibility and skill. Since 1992, Archimea has spanned commercial market segments with expertise in Corporate, Education, Hospitality, Retail, Healthcare, Non-profits, Assisted Living/ Multi-Family Housing and Government. Our central focus is the specific knowledge required for the design of space for work and human interaction. Projects vary in size and scope from small tenant improvement to large complex remodels and new construction. In all our projects, we strongly emphasize teamwork, collaboration, high ethical standards, accuracy, creativity, and a strong focus on the client experience.

We are a division of Suntide Commercial Realty, a fast-growing property management, brokerage, and construction firm. We develop projects separate from and in collaboration with Suntide.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead interior design projects from concept through completion including client communication, programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, finishes, fabrics, equipment, color palettes and lighting.
  • Generate floor plans, finish plans, elevations, construction documentation, specifications and material selections
  • Generate FF&E schedules and pricing
  • Review shop drawings when necessary
  • Create and support new and existing client relationships through effective communication and follow-up
  • Organize project flow, interacting with clients, contractors, brokers, the design team, consultants, and end-users from initial contact to occupancy
  • Work on concurrent projects in various phases of project delivery when needed
  • Manage external consultants such as product representatives, furniture dealers and fabricators.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Interior Design Degree or related field experience
  • 6+ years in full life cycle commercial interior design
  • Experience with commercial projects and project management (only individuals with commercial interior design experience should apply)
  • Ability to estimate, track and adhere to project hours responsibly
  • Strong knowledge of commercial furniture, finishes, materials, color selections and specifications
  • Ability to develop 3D renderings with Sketchup when necessary.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, Sketchup and Adobe Suite, Familiarity with Bluebeam preferred.
  • NCIDQ Certification highly preferred
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (IBC, MN State Building Code, MN Accessibility Code, BOMA Standards, ANSI Standards)
  • Experience in direct client relationships and customer support
  • Experience with development of graphic presentations for design communication · Please be prepared to present your portfolio and references at the time of an interview.

Compensation:

The base salary range is $73,000 – $87,000, commensurate with relevant experience plus annual bonus eligibility.

Our annual base salary range has been established based on local markets.
