Brokers Start Their Leasing Engines

Minneapolis, MN (Sept 9th) More than 50 commercial real estate brokers gathered at Ridge NE, a 6 story office building, to tour the latest building design and race remote control cars on the wide open floor plates. The event, “Rev Up at Ridge”, was held to showcase renovation upgrades at the NE Minneapolis property and kick off a leasing campaign for more than 100,000 sf of prime office space that is now available in the complex.

“A former tenant who leased the majority of this building was here for 15 years. After completing the demolition of a full floor, we created 33,000 sf of wide open space, wrapped with dominant window lines”, said Denise Currie, Principal of Suntide Commercial Realty, which leases and manages the property. “The car race was a unique way for brokers to come check out what we have to offer their clients, and see how this building can be a great option for open creative office space.”

Commercial office brokers from offices throughout the Twin Cities raced remote control cars on a track built by construction management services for Suntide. Fully charged cars raced via transmitters on a 300 foot track, including jumps and other man made challenges.

“Due to our rapid growth, we just signed a lease relocating our corporate headquarters to Ridge NE”, said Ben Cattoor, Founder and CEO of Foodsby, LLC. “The building already offered Foodsby service as an in-office lunch option. The open collaborative design of our new space will be amazing with a view of the Minneapolis skyline. The amenities, location and the view made our decision to choose Ridge NE an easy one.” Construction for the 6,300 sf Foodsby headquarters designed by NELSON starts this week.

Panoramic views of downtown Minneapolis are one of the popular features of the property. In addition to views, Ridge NE has completed a renovation of lobby space and fitness center, added a community lounge that adjoins an outdoor garden patio, and Panino’s Family Italian Restaurant has opened for breakfast and lunch in the property. Upgrades to the building include new tile flooring and carpet, free wireless Internet connections and new LED lighting.

Suntide Commercial Realty, along with PlanForce Architecture & Interiors and construction management services for Suntide, completed the building renovation project and upgrades at Ridge NE.

Ridge NE, is an 180,000 sf 6 story property located at 1-35W & Industrial Boulevard in NE Minneapolis with easy access and on-site parking. The location provides immediate access to major freeways and is 5 minutes to downtown Minneapolis.  Learn more about Ridge NE by clicking here.
